more ink blending experimetns..

experimenting with rice paper, water-soluble pen and watercolor.. the pen blends so badly,  but the chromatography effects plus the watercolor effects makes interesting results...

i placed the rice paper over different kinds of paper, draw and paint on the rice paper, the ink and colors 'transfer' to the paper underneath, with some interesting effects..

blending pen exp

trying to do more experiments with the STAEDTLER water-soluble pen, i drew a simple heart shape on the rice paper, then added a drop of water at the middle of the heart, and watched how the ink flow out by itself.... quite interesting. i think we've done similar things ages ago in a chemistry class... i forgot the term for it...

and i tried to made a drawing from it... fun....

Staedtler's non-permanent pen on the Sa paper journal.. i add' water to it and it blends terribly.... the ink turns from black to purple/blue...

brush pen

My ink pens are running out of ink, so I decided to take a walk out in this SUNNY afternoon and went to the art supply store to pick up a new pen. I got a Sakura Pigma Micron 01 this time. I also got a Pigma Brush pen, and 2 more journals/sketchpad! Just can't resist it -__-...

This one was drawn by the brush pen on the new 4*6" hardcover journal. Oh the 'eyelashes' were drawn by the Micron pen. I made a 'mistake' when drawing the eyes with the brush pen, so I tho' I'd just add the need eyelashes to go with the BIG eyes :P I guess I need a new name for it... Teru's twin sister... how about... Miru? or Meru?
